Janet Ramus, also known as Cookie, is a British soul singer. She performed the vocals on the UK number one house song “Lola’s Theme” by The Shapeshifters, which was released in July 2004, and their hit single “Back To Basics”. She was also featured in “Turn It Around” by Jason Karl. As of 2004, she was part of the London Community Gospel Choir.

The best years of her career have been since 1998/1999, when she had her first breakthrough singles. Hooking up with Manchester’s own DJs/producers Jason Herd and John Fitz, she released five collaborations in 2004 alone. Abigail is climbing the ladder and establishing her self among the cream of female house music vocalists. Her voice has been described as angelic yet soulful with a twist of diva.

In addition to writing top-lines for other artists/producers she has, after many years of wanting to, now finally taken up DJing, combining live accpellas and chunky house in her sets. Following the release of this fused concept, she was offered a residency at the highly acclaimed PUKKA UP night once a month at London’s prestigious club PACHA.

Abigail Bailey has been one of the scenes leading vocalists since she stormed the charts in 2005 with the massive club anthem Herd & Fitz ‘I Just Can’t Get Enough’ released through Eric Morillo’s Subliminal label. The last few years have seen Abi focus on her DJ’ing and Production with great success and she has already headlined nights in many UK and international destinations including holding down residences in Egypt /Brazil/ Portugal/ Russia and many other top destinations.
